About Us
Our District
Located in central Pennsylvania, the DuBois Area School District serves families throughout Clearfield and Jefferson counties. Specifically, our schools draw students from DuBois, Falls Creek, Troutville and Bloom Township, Brady Township, Huston Township, Sandy Township, Union Township, Reynoldsville, Sykesville, and Winslow Township.
Our curriculum adheres to Pennsylvania state standards in all subjects, including the core areas of language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies. We also offer instruction in art, music, and physical education. Students at DuBois Area School District may also enroll in high ability programming, advanced placement courses, dual/college credit courses, band, choir, theatre arts, career and technical education courses, and world languages.
College and Career Readiness
We are committed to “teaching today’s learners to be tomorrow’s leaders,” and part of the way we do it is by preparing our students to succeed after high school—whether that be in college or a career.
Dual-Credit Options
Thanks to our partnerships with area colleges and universities, like Penn State DuBois, Penn West Clarion, Indiana University of PA, Lock Haven University Clearfield, and Mount Aloysius College, DuBois Area School District offers area juniors and seniors dual-enrollment opportunities. Dual enrollment allows students to receive high school credit at the same time they take college courses (often at a discounted rate). These credits not only save families money, but they prepare our students for the rigors of college coursework.
Career Technical Education
High school students from DuBois Area School District may also opt to take advantage of career-technical education through Jeff Tech. CTE courses provide students with the technical skills they need to land a well-paying job directly out of high school. Consider Jeff Tech if your son or daughter is interested in any of the following:
