DAHS Homecoming

Dear DASD Families,

Your family is invited to participate in the annual DAHS Homecoming festivities on Friday, September 19th. There will be a tailgate party and parade at the High School hosted by the DAHS Student Council. Following these events, your family is encouraged to attend the football game to cheer on the Beavers as they take on St. Marys.

The events for the afternoon and evening will be as follows:

September 19th:

3:45– 5:30 – Tailgate party in the front parking lot of DAHS

5:30 – Line up for parade to Mansell Stadium

5:45 – Parade begins

7:00 – Kick-off @ Mansell Stadium

Approximately 8:15 – (halftime) Homecoming queen is crowned

Following the tailgate party, all DuBois Area School District students are then invited and encouraged to participate in the Homecoming Parade. We are asking them to dress in red, black, and white and walk together as a school. All students must be supervised by parents, guardians, and/or the PTO of the given school. Your school is welcome to make a banner to carry and walk behind.  Due to regulations, parade entries/floats are limited to DuBois Area High School organizations only. For the safety of our parade participants and spectators, no candy or objects can be thrown from a moving vehicle. The parade leaves the high school and continues down Division Street before ending at Mansell Stadium. It arrives at the stadium just in time to go in and get a seat before the kick-off of the football game. Admission to the football game is $3 for students and $4 for adults. Please consider taking this opportunity to get your children involved in the Homecoming festivities and show their school spirit! This will be a wonderful event for the entire family. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Heather Pasternak or Denise Sloan at the High School (371-8111).  GO BEAVERS!!

Thank You,

DAHS Student Council Advisors and Officers
